be late for 迟到

注意点：be late to 与be late for 的区别

be labe late for 因…而迟到,做…迟到.后接名词。

例： 1.I will not be late for school.我上学不会迟到。

2.I'll be late for the meeting.我开会要晚了。

be late to 后接的是动词，表示做这个动作稍晚，迟。

例：“Why were you late to school this morning?“今天早上你为什么上学迟到？”

经常同以 too late to do sth 这种形式出现，表示：做什么太晚了。

例： 1.It is never too late to learn.学习从来不嫌迟。

2.It's too late to catch the bus.太迟了，赶不上公共汽车了。
