London is the world famous metropolitan city with many people from every corner of the Earth due to the historical reason. It is not a surprise to see people from every continent in London. It is said that one third of the London residents were born in a country other than the UK. Like many other large metropolitan cities London has different cultures. At anytime you can easily find a theatre or opera house to enjoy the music, dancing and talk show from America, Africa, Ascia and other countries of Europe. Similarly, anytime if you like you can find a restaurant to enjoy the French, Indian, Chinese and Japanee dishes. Although London has all the problem that large cities cannot avoid, compared with other super big cities London is doing very well. It's 480 mile long underground railway system has made it very convenient for residents and tourists to go to anyplace in the city. London is not only a financial centre of the world but also the cultural centre with many first class universities and institutions. That is why so many Chinese young people would be willing to pay as much as twenty times of their home tuition fee to complete their higher education in the city. London is an old city with the most advanced science and technology, art and culture, which have formed a collection of unique elements to attract people from the world.
