be动词的复合结构后面应该加表语。

be动词一共有八种基本形式：

动词原形——be

第一人称单数现在式——am

第三人称单数现在式——is

第二人称单、复数和第一、三人称复数现在式——are

第一、三人称单数过去式——was

第二人称单、复数和第一、三人称复数过去式——were

过去分词——been

现在分词——being。

be动词可以作联系动词或助动词来使用。

一、联系动词。

be动词作联系动词时，后面必须跟名词、形容词、副词、不定式、分词、动名词、介宾短语等作表语，否则意思是不完整的。be动词的意思是“是”或“在”，本身并无实际意义。如：

My mother is a doctor.

I'm her mother.

The girl is very beautiful.

The boys are away during the morning.

My work is to prepare dinner.

One of my hobbies is making artificial flowers.

His job is very interesting.

The cat is under the table.

二、助动词。

be动词作助动词时，后面可以跟现在分词构成进行时，或跟过去分词构成被动语态。

My mother is stirring the gravy.

While he was having lunch, the phone rang.

Jesus was hanged on the cross.

All of the books in the library are lent for two-week periods.
