center和central都是“中心”，但它们有什么不同

center和centre的意义是一样的只不过center是美式写法，而centre是英国拼法centre市中心(美作:center)，就像theatre剧院(美作:theater)一样

美国英语用-er词尾，英国英语用-re词尾：center—centre;meter-metre;theater-theatre等；
