英语中有一些词或短语是不能用于被动语态的，这是因为它们本身就表示主动意义或没有被动形式。以下是一些常见的不能用于被动语态的词或短语：
Modal verbs: can, could, may, might, must, shall, should, will, would
情态动词表示的是说话人的态度、意愿或建议，因此不能用于被动语态。例如，“The problem can be solved”是正确的，但是“*The problem can be been solved”是错误的。
Phrasal verbs with a preposition: look after, give up, put off, etc.
带介词的短语动词也不能用于被动语态，因为介词本身就表示一个动作的方向或位置，没有被动形式。例如，“She looks after her children”可以变成被动语态：“Her children are looked after by her”，但是“*Her children are looked after”是错误的。
Intransitive verbs: sleep, die, arrive, etc.
