定语从句有关reason的问题

第一句：why I have to go是定语从句，修饰The reason，规定要用why引导。that my friend is ill in bed是表语从句，用that引导。
第二句是it的强调结构——“it was+ 被强调部分+that+其余部分”，被强调部分“__he didnt agree with us”是主语。而why只能引导定语从句。所以不能这样填。
这里可以这样填：
It was the reason why he didnt agree with us that made us angry.
这样，句子的主语就是the reason。why引导的定语从句修饰the reason。
