想在PTE口语部分流利朗读数字，首先掌握基数词读法是基础。一位数如one到five，两位数如twenty-five（25）可直接读出，三到四位数则需结合“百”和“千”的单位，例如105读作one hundred (and) five，225读作two hundred (and) twenty-five，2,225读作two thousand two hundred (and) twenty-five。在英式英语中，hundred后面的数字需加and，而美式英语中则不加。

五位以上的数字读法遵循三位一组的原则，用数字+计数单位+数字的方式读出。如“万”对应“十个千”，英文为ten thousand；“十万”对应“百个千”，英文为a/one hundred thousand。具体读法如下：11,265读作eleven thousand two hundred (and)sixty-five，635,478读作six hundred (and) thirty five thousand and four hundred (and) seventy-eight。

七位以上的数字，如汉语中用“百万”表示的7位数字，在英文中则用“million”表示。汉语中的“千万”和“亿”在英文中没有对应单位词，可将其换算成“ten million”和“a/one hundred million”。例如：2,536,862读作two million, five hundred (and) thirty-six,eight hundred (and)sixty-two，25,026,008读作twenty-five million (and) twenty-six thousand (and) eight，378,263,659读作three hundred and seventy-eight million,two hundred and sixty-three thousand,six hundred and fifty-nine。

十位数的数字在英文中对应“billion”，如5,937,284,560读作five billion,nine hundred thirty-seven million,two hundred eighty four thousand five hundred sixty。

小数的读法中，小数点用“point”表示，小数点后面两位以上的数字分别读出。例如：2.5读作two point five，45.67读作forty-five point six seven。

分数的读法中，分子用基数词表示，分母用序数词表示，先读分子后读分母。分子为1时口语中用“a”代替“one”，分子大于1时分母加“s”。例如：1/3读作a/one third，1/6读作a/one sixth，1/4读作a/one quarter(fourth)，3/8读作three eighths。较为复杂的分数可以用“over”表示，如232/503读作two hundred and thirty-two over five hundred and three。

电话号码的读法遵循顺序读、相同数字用double或triple、七位数分组读的原则。如2682000读作two six eight two thousand，0读作zero或字母O(ou)或nought。

度量单位或重量单位读法，如100mph读作one hundred miles per hour，50 kg读作fifty kilograms。年份读法分为一般读法、前两位非零后两位零的读法、第三个数字为零的读法、千年读法。
