Nowadays there is a trend that instead of staying with their parents,many people,particularly young adults,choose to live by themselves.I believe there are multiple reasons behind this phenomenon and I think this tendency should be encouraged.

The major reason is that people now are in much better financial condition than they used to be,which makes it possible for them to build their own families.In the past,it is common that young people live with their parents because living together is less costly.Today,with individuals' disposable incomes increasing rapidly,people value their freedom and privacy more and it is understandable that they will move away from their parents or siblings as long as they think it is necessary.For example,when a young couple get married,they might think it is better to live separately from their parents,as there is always a generation gap when it comes to values and lifestyles.Another factor is that due to the constant technology innovations,people now have broader minds and stronger ambitions than ever before.As a result,they are inspired to pursue their dreams by travelling,studying or working far away from their parents.

People's choice to live by themselves is often advocated by social experts as this practice can bring benefits to the social development.First,it relieves the pressure of the environment and can save the finite energy resources.As for most young people,in order to seek more career opportunities and rich entertainment,they prefer smaller apartments in large cities rather than the huge car-dependent suburb houses,therefore they do not need too much driving and consume less gas,electricity and water.Besides,with more people choosing to live by themselves,there will be more demand in the property market and this will spur the booming of other areas such as building materials,home design and decorating.

In conclusion,it is a fact that in order to seek more freedom and better career opportunities many people choose to live independently.As long as they can handle the challenges of their life and cause no harm to others,this choice is beneficial to both the individual and the society.
