Dolphins live in the ocean,but they are not fish.They are warm-blooded mammals and must have air to breathe.The babies are born alive and drink milk from the mother's body.It took millions of years for the dolphins to develop as it is today.

Dolphins live in groups,and speak to each other in their own language.That is a high sound and many singers love to learn this beautiful “song”.Their sound see鸡s to have different functions,such as warning each other of danger or showing kindness to others. Dolphins also use sound to help them find their way around, and to help them find food. In this way they are like other animals,such as bees and birds.But dolphins are very different from almost all land animals. We now know they do not use their ears to receive their sounds,but the lower part of the mouth,called the jaw.Dolphins have bigger brain in proportion to their body size than humans have and they live a long life—at least 20 or 30 years.

Strangely,dolphins seem to like man,and for thousands of years there have been stories about the dolphin and its frindship with people.
