吞音是什么意思

吞音是指两个相邻的词连读，在某种情况下有些音省掉不发，这是标准英语口语的重要技巧。
关于吞音的几种情况:
（1）Sounds disappear
When the sounds/t/or/d/occur between two consonant sounds,they will often disappear completely from the pronunciation.
当t或d夹在两个辅音中间时，t和d不用发音。例如postman,应该念成posman。两个单词连接时也是同样，例如next week应该发成nex week，worst job发成wors job
（2）Sounds join together
When a word ends in a consonant sound and the following word begins with the same consonant sound,we don't pronounce two sounds-both sounds are pronounced together as one.
如果一个单词以某个辅音结尾，后一单词以相同或者相似的辅音（所谓相似，例如f和v）开头，此辅音只用发一次就可以了。例如a bit tired的t,a lot to do的t,what to say的t。
I've finished it.(念成I finished it)
she's slept three hours.(念成she slept three hours)
（3）Consonant to vowel linking
when the first word ends with a consonant sound and the second word begins with a vowel sound
辅音和元音的连接。当前一单词以辅音结尾，后一单词以元音开始时，必须连读。例如a lot of 听起来就是a lotof
