stop doing前不可以加介词

stop doing sth 停止做某事。

如：

We stopped talking when the teacher came into the classroom.

当老师走进教室时我们停止说话。

区别：stop to do sth 停下来去做某事

如：

He is too tired and he has to stop to have a rest .

他太累了，他不得不停下来去休息。

类似用法的还有：

remember / forget to do sth .记得/忘记去做某事

remember / forget doing sth 记得/忘记做过某事

如：

1). Remember to close the window when you leave .

= Don't forget to close the winow when you leave .

当你离开时记得关窗。

2) . I remembered sending the letter for you.

我记得给你寄了信。

3) .I forgot borrowing a book from you.

我忘记曾经向你借过书这件事。

如：
